The workshop will be presented online by Mr. Arnaud Scaillerez on March 19, 2024 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Arnaud Scaillerez is an associate professor in human resource management at the School of Public Administration at the University of Moncton. He conducts research on telecommuting, collaborative workspaces, or even the four-day workweek from the perspectives of well-being at work or the impact of these new forms of work organization on rural areas. When arriving in a new country, many questions arise, including those related to job search. How does a recruitment process work in Canada? What strategies to adopt when applying for a job? How to stand out from other candidates or how to be selected?

The objectives of this workshop will be to:

  • Better understand the Canadian staffing process
  • Know how to analyze a job offer
  • Know how to highlight your education, experiences, and skills when applying for a job
  • Better prepare for interviews
  • Know some methods and tips to stand out and be selected.
