Gravelbourg Hosts Community Builders Workshop
On Monday, the Town of Gravelbourg in partnership with the Saskatchewan Economic Development Alliance had the privilege of hosting a momentous event, the Community Builders Workshop: Positive Pathways to Rural and Small Town Prosperity facilitated by the indefatigable Peter Kenyon. Registrants from 15 communities across southern Saskatchewan, including mayors, councillors, librarians, administrators, settlement facilitators, economic development professionals, business owners, and volunteers, learned about asset-based community development through stories, exercises, and connection-building. How inspiring to see a room full of individuals dedicated to improving their towns, cities, and organizations!

Many thanks to the Crown Investment Corporation for sponsoring the tour, the Centre Cultural Maillard for providing the venue, the Wheatland Pub & Eatery for the scrumptious lunch, and Southland Co-op Ltd. for donating the coffee break snacks.

Special thanks to Verona Thibault and Carmen Hesje at SEDA for making this event possible and managing logistics, promotion, registration and so much more.

We wish Peter safe travels to Biggar, Watrous, Melville, and the RM of Prince Albert. That's quite the tour of Saskatchewan and we are so proud to have been part of it!
