April 22: EV Charging Station Grand Opening!

Join us at Soucy Park on April 22 at 12 pm for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the new Aviva Earth Day Canada Charged for Change EV charging station!

 

May 2: Repair Cafe

May 3rd. Maillard Cultural Centre. 10 am - 3 pm.

If it's broken, why not try to fix it! We've invited local small appliance repair experts and handy folks to volunteer to fix your items for FREE! The Gravelbourg Artisan Co-operative is also offering a creative mending workshop from 1-3 pm

 

May 3: Community Clean Up

 Renaissance Gaiety Theatre

1:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Celebrate Earth Day and help tidy the Town! Drop in anytime and grab a bag and a pair of gloves. Free BBQ lunch for clean-up volunteers!

Additional activities:

  • Clothing swap: take/trade/donate clothing. All sizes welcome!
  • Local "Green" services booth: learn about SARCAN's recycling services, Town waste services, repurpose/repair opportunities, & more!

May 12: Curbside Electronics Pickup

9 am. GGIV volunteers will collect your unrepairable or unwanted electronics for recycling. Visit sarcan.ca to find out what's accepted. 

May 14: Curbside Compost Pickup

8 am -3 pm. Public Works will collect leaves, yard vegetation, and small branches. Compostable items MUST be in a container that can be easily dumped out (bucket, small garbage bin, Rubbermaid/tote, or paper bag). Absolutely no plastic! PW will not collect compost left in plastic bags. See the Public Services page for more information about local waste and recycling services. 

May 23:Tree Pruning Workshop

1 pm at the Community Forest, Bettez St/5th Ave. Join Sask Parks and Recreation Association tree expert, Andrew Exelby, and learn more about how to care for our precious trees.
